Gaither Drake is a southern California-based singer/songwriter who has spent the past 30 years performing, writing and recording his own compositions. His musical style is perhaps best categorized as folk-rock, although his work features a broad range of rhythms, moods and tempos. Largely, though not entirely autobiographical, the songs of Gaither Drake are written in a direct, literal style that does not require deeply penetrating analysis on the part of the listener to comprehend their meaning. While many of the songs relate stories of heartache, disappointment and lost opportunities, others reveal a wry, irreverant sense of humor will leave listeners laughing if occasionally wincing slightly.
